info 1. What is AudioPe?

AudioPe is an audio cashier display app designed for small merchants, kirana stores, street vendors, and entrepreneurs across India. When a customer pays you via any UPI app (PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM, and more), AudioPe instantly announces the payment amount aloud — so you never miss a payment, even when your screen is turned away or you're busy serving another customer.

AudioPe monitors UPI payment notifications entirely on your device to trigger these audio alerts.

vpn_key 2. Permissions We Request & Why

• check_circle Notification Access: To read incoming payment notifications from UPI apps. This is the only way AudioPe knows when a payment has been received so it can announce it.

smartphone 3. Your Payment Data Stays On Your Device

Your payment data and financial information never leave your device. AudioPe processes all UPI notifications and stores your transaction history entirely on your phone — nothing is uploaded to our servers or the internet.

To understand how the app is being used and make it better, we use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, non-personal usage signals — for example, which screens are visited and which features are used. This data contains no payment amounts, no sender names, no UPI IDs, no UTR numbers, and no personal information of any kind. We have no ability to link these signals back to you or any individual user.

memory 4. What Data We Process

The app only processes the text of incoming notifications from supported UPI applications to extract the payment amount and sender name. This processing happens instantly in your phone's memory and is immediately discarded after the audio announcement.

database 6. How Data is Stored Locally

Your transaction history is stored in a local database on your device using Android's Room (SQLite) library. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, this history is permanently deleted.

When the optional Web Dashboard is enabled, a small in-memory cache of recent transactions is held in RAM solely to serve the local dashboard page quickly. This cache is cleared the moment the dashboard is turned off and is never written to disk separately from the main database.

api 7. Third-Party Services

AudioPe uses two Firebase services by Google, solely to keep the app stable and improve your experience. Neither service receives any personal or financial data.

• analytics Firebase Analytics — Collects anonymous usage signals such as screen views and feature interactions (e.g. "user changed TTS language to Hindi"). No names, amounts, UPI IDs, or any personally identifiable information are ever sent. Data is stored by Google and governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• bug_report Firebase Crashlytics — Collects anonymous crash reports (stack traces, app version, Android version, device model) when the app crashes, so we can fix bugs quickly. No payment data or personal information is included in crash reports.

We do not use any advertising SDKs, data brokers, or analytics services beyond those listed above. We do not sell, rent, or share any data — anonymous or otherwise — with third parties for commercial purposes.

child_care 8. Children's Privacy

Our service is intended for merchants and business owners. We do not knowingly collect or process any information from children under the age of 13.

update 9. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in app updates via the Google Play Store and on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
